The Catching Camp was founded by Jay Weaver and his father, the late Coach Dave Weaver when they recognized that instruction for the toughest position on the field was generally unavailable to players committed to playing the catcher position. They now work with catchers all around the world, youth ages all the way up to the NCAA Div. 1 and MLB ranks, close to 365 days a year.
For the last two decades, endless research about the biomechanics and physiological advantages behind developing drills has been done to enable catchers to excel if they choose to dedicate themselves and maintain an uncompromised work ethic.
TCC offers catchers a comprehensive development program for the position – providing athletes of all skill levels an unparalleled progression of instruction through several levels of receiving, blocking, throwing, fielding, handling pitchers and calling the game.
Our year-round programs consist of camps around the country as well as private 1-on-1 lessons, live or online. If you have a catcher in the family or on your team and are looking for elite position-specific instruction, look no further, The Catching Camp is for you.
